Prof. Dr. Necdet Tosun

Necdet Tosun was born in 1971 in Bandırma. He graduated from Marmara University’s Faculty of Theology in 1993.

He completed his master degree at Marmara University Institute of Social Sciences with the title “Halvet and Uzlet in Sufism Before Ibn Arabi” in 1995, and his doctorate with the title “Hâcegân School in Sufism XII-XVII Centuries” in 2002.He became an associate professor in 2006 and a professor in 2012.

Currently he is a lecturer at the Marmara University’s Faculty of Theology, Department of Sufism.Necdet Tosun, who has studies on Ottoman, Central Asian and Indian Sufism, knows English, Arabic and Persian.
